Terms of service
Last updated ·
These terms govern your use of Stet (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Stet.
The service
Stet helps you tailor a résumé to a specific job description. We provide the tailoring agent, the rendering pipeline, the ATS scorecard, and related tools. We do not guarantee any specific job-search outcome.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
- You’re responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Your content
You retain ownership of any résumé, job description, or text you submit. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the service to you (render, tailor, score, store, export). We do not use your content to train third-party models.
Don’t submit content that’s illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or that you don’t have permission to share.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract the service.
- Misrepresent your identity or fabricate experience that materially misleads an employer. We provide tailoring; the underlying facts must be yours.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or violate any law.
- Probe, abuse, or interfere with the security or integrity of the service.
Plans and payment
Some features require a paid plan. Pricing, limits, and renewal terms are shown in your account at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe under their own terms. Refunds, where applicable, follow the policy posted on your billing page.
AI output
The tailoring agent uses third-party language models. Output is generated and may be imperfect — you’re responsible for reviewing it before using it externally (sending to a recruiter, posting publicly, etc.). The service is provided “as-is” with no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. On termination, your data is deleted per the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll post the change here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
